ANI-235: Caribou (F)

Welcome Anjij, aka Grace, to the Solitude Restoration Reserve!

Anjij is our first and only Caribou, although we plan on rescuing more to give her a herd and keep her company. Depending on her recovery and rehabilitation, she may be released back to the wild and monitored while she acclimates to her herd. Anjij was found with barbed wire hanging from her chest, and it's believed that she must have run through it while she and her herd spooked, either from a predator, likely a wolf, or a hunter. Her history has left her wary and skittish. She's quick to fright, and she's even been seen bolting after moving rocks underfoot.
