The animals in Shifting Sands are smart enough to run for their shelters when the skies open up without waiting for zoo staff to call them in. The'll come around and shut the doors in a moment to stop the rain from blowing in and soaking the bedding.

The sulcatas (spurred tortoises) have a seperate, lower shelter with a smaller door. It makes it easier to regulate the temperature and stops the antelope from squeezing in there with them.
