Red Birb Shelter

The Kakawahie is an extinct type of Hawaiian honey creeper from the Island of Molokaʻi. With the recent advances in technology and DNA study people have begun to work on bringing back extinct creatures. Though Ares thought the research would suit better for already existing species that were endangered he was still thrilled to be invited out to see the Kakawahies. He had been invited out to another preserve that was working on bringing the species back and had offered Ares a chance to help as well. When Ares got there he was greeted by the other man and then taken to the Kakawahie exhibit where currently ten birds resided. These were the only ten in existances to far and Ares was going to be given the opportunity to take in a breeding pair. He watched as the birds flew about their enclosures working on their nests. Ares was to keep the breeding pair and work on releasing any offspring that came from them. It would be a daunting task, but Ares knnew he could take it on. And though it wasn't a North Dakota native species, he was still happy to help. So it was decided then that Ares would be bringing a pair of these birds back to the Preserve to start the Kakawahie project.
