Zookeeper. Definitely human. What else could they be? A strange, otherworldly creature? Naw, it's just Greg. Look, they even have hair. That's a human, no doubt about it. They can't speak english, so the "strange growling noises" is probably just Latin or something. Greg's favourite animals are anything that's cute and fluffy, just like any other normal human. Because Greg is a normal human.
