ANI-2366: Asya (F)

Meet Asya! The Steam Spire Rescue Zoo's first flat-headed cat and most notorious! While she is very calm and usually very quiet, she has been known to cause trouble. Not the kind you might think, but apparently she is not a big fan of the males in her same exhibit. Most of the time if they try to approach her, she tends to bat them away and make a scene. While it may sometimes seem funny at times (given the overall display), she can get a little out of hand and staff tries their best to separate them in the safest way they can. When she's not being a handful, Aysa is very playful. If we're completely honest...she hardly needs any actual toys.

When she isn't out for a swim, she is very easily entertained by large leaves and the small sticks, branches, and even small logs in her enclosure. Given that most flat-headed cats are nocturnal or crepuscular, we hold seasonal events where we either close late or open early to allow visitors to see our girl in action! Her enclosure also has a "hidden tank" view visitors can watch her swim. If they're lucky, they might get a close up of her when she is really curious.
