ANI-1798: Teeth (F)

Teeth is a very lazy, and in some cases, grumpy leopard. She likes going through the days at a slow and steady pace. She is also known to dislike loud noises. However, she is playful and loves toys, just...tends to play a little bit before getting bored and lounging about. 

She was the first Amur leopard acquired by Steam Spire Rescue Zoo and was brought in as a rescue cub. She really had no experience out in the wild and as a result, is a little too comfortable here. Leading us to believe it's safer that she is not rereleased.  Unfortunately, she is the classic case of being "sold" as an exotic pet and luckily revoked in time before anything truly happened to her. Thus, she never had any exposure outside of the zoo to what would essentially be her "natural habitat" and as an odd result, doesn't like snow either. Chilly weather is fine, but something about the snow itself makes her very upset. She is often seen yowlling when there is too much of it or flat out hides as long as she can until she just HAS to leave her den.

Likewise, she is very attached to the zoo's first ever cougar, Tripod. She is almost always around him and has had a litter of cubs with him as a result. She is known to get aggressive if she is aware others attempt to separate them.

In her exhibit, while she is not the oldest, she is known to be somewhat of a "leader" to the other leopards (and Tripod), most leaving her alone or stopping a spat dead in it's tracks should she get involved...same can't really be said if she starts it though. The safest option there is to leave.
